On offer is a new release seedling of the Native Dendrobium Orchid, D. Coolart Gold ‘Canary Yellow’ HCC/OSCOV x Australian Goldrush ‘Welcome Stranger’.
Established in a 40mm square tube, this is a first rate hybrid crossing for superb, large flowered, chunky golden yellows! Both parents are excellent examples of their types. Plants will be very similar to D. Australian Goldrush in appearance, and whilst the photo doesn’t show it, ‘Welcome Stranger’ is very much in the orange colour range (whilst ‘Canary Yellow’ has Yondi Sunshine ‘Orange’ as a parent). We’re expecting some very nice golden yellows AND true ORANGE blooms to come from this crossing, with flower counts up around the 30-40 per stem, with heavy substance and perfect shape.
The photographs show the actual parents used and a seedling typical of those on offer.
