On offer is a new release seedling of the Native Dendrobium Orchid, D. Jesmond Gem, from the crossing of D. Yondi ‘MD Big Pink’ x speciosum v curvicaule ‘Robbie’s Misty Palms’.
Established in a 40mm square tube, this is a remake of an older hybrid not commonly available today, using modern parents. ‘MD Big Pink’, as the name suggests, is a very large, shapely and heavily textured Yondi, with beautiful pastel pink blooms and a wide, flat labellum. ‘Robbie’s Misty Palms’ is about as big as v curvicaule flowers get, tipping the 90mm mark, with graceful arching racemes of shapely, cream blooms of incredible substance and heavy texture. This grex has received at least one FCC, and we anticipate that some very nice, show quality plants will result from this version!
All photographs show flower photos of the two parents and an example of the plants on offer.
